Welcome to BSA Troop 381's Website

We are excited about the opportunities that Boy Scouts has provided for our sons.  Scouting can provide a structured environment to teach young men the skills that will help them mature into adulthood.  Our goal is to uphold the principles of leadership, achievement, and service in a creative, fun, and active atmosphere.  While our adult leaders are there to guide and encourage them, our scouts are expected to plan activities, lead, support, and learn from one another.  Troop 381 is involved in service projects that benefit our community. We have been involved with such organizations as Goodwill/Goodturn, Hope Hospice, Texas Adopt a highway / trash pickup, Bike MS, Food Bank, Wounded Warriors, Relay for Life,  building tables and planter boxes for schools.   We are commited to providing our Troop with campouts every month.  In addition, we are working to raise funds so that the troop can travel out of state for their week long summer camp broadening their experience and appreciation of the outdoors.  If you are interested in learning more about our troop, send us an email by using the "Contact Us" option on the left side of this page.

July 4 Parade

This an optional event that is organized by one of the other Troops in town.  If you would like to participate you are welcome to go.  You will get 2 hours of Community Service for particpating.  Just take a picture of yourself.   FYI - This Troop also carries a giant flag in the parade.  The way they carry the giant flag does not follow the Flag Code, which is disappointing. Sea Base Adventure

Everyone had a great time in Florida.  The boys held alligators, rode on an airboat, snorkeled, fished, caught sharks, sailed, paddle boarded, snorkeled again, some even traveled by disco golfcart, and we all learned to navigate public transportation.  All while being on the lookout for Florida Man. So proud of all of them!
